Into the Garden is a collection that began by taking three-dimensional flowers and pressing them in order to create two-dimensional pieces of physical artwork using paper and glue. This artwork was then scanned into a digital form, which created the first step of the process, shown below.

From these scans, using Affinity I created a number of pieces of digital art, most of which took the form of PNGs. Methods of editing include layering techniques, cutting and pasting, and color gradient overlays. Some of the original scans produced multiple new creations, all of which are shown below.

Finally, these digital creations were projected onto a large screen and used as an overlay. Additional flowers in the three-dimensional form were used to capture some of the light and patterns that came from the digital art.
